“LOOK DEEP INTO NATURE AND THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING BETTER” ALBERT EINSTEIN
Get them off screens! (If only for a little bit)
Northwood is a fantastic environment for children to relax, learn and play and we welcome visits from schools and home school groups. Forest schools and outside learning are coming into their own, and the importance of traditional play is being recognised at last. Children can also learn about the woodland and its eco-system and new research on the hidden life of trees.
We believe creativity is at the heart of a successful and happy life. We have four children of our own and they were all taught at a Steiner school – we have integrated much of this learning into developing a unique environment for children, where their creativity and imagination is set free. A visit to Northwood will linger long in their memories.
SCHOOLS Q & A
How many kids can we bring?
We hope to accommodate everyone – please contact us to have a chat.
What age group is it suitable for?
Early years as well as Key stages 1 and 2 are probably the most relevant, however we have had queries from colleges and A level art courses – there is so much artistic inspiration!
Do we have risk assessments?
We have risk assessed our attraction which you are welcome to view and add your own assessments for your requirements
Can we bring packed lunches?
We recommend either morning or early afternoon visits as we don’t have picnicking facilities in the Sanctuary (too many critters!), we do sell take-away ice creams and drinks if you don’t want to use the café.
Booking Information
We require full payment at least 10 days before your visit - please contact us by email if you’d like to book a group visit. We can’t take school groups on weekends or bank holidays.
